I am passionate about high quality Leadership Development that makes a real difference to individuals and organisations. In my work I consistently aim to deepen participants understanding of the organisation they work in, they systemic context in which that exists and help them use that, together with a more thorough understand of themselves to think differently about how they can be most effective. Creative, energetic and practical I work with leaders from a variety of sectors and organisations to be the best they can be.

My role focused principally on working with clients to advise on, design and deliver high impact interventions across the leadership development and organizational development space to release the full potential of their workforce. I worked with colleagues within Hay Group and a network of associates to enable reliable and high quality delivery of these interventions. My work ranged from commissions with individual organisations to reach small groups of senior and executive teams through to commissions from national organisations to design and deliver approaches that can reach tens of thousands of individuals. I was known for my innovative approach and ability to deliver to tight timescales.

During this time my focus was on bringing my expertise in the healthcare and leadership and talent space to a new company whilst also developing my expertise in Hay Group’s proprietary psychometric tools and approaches. I designed and delivered programmes for a number of different healthcare organisations, focusing principally on developing triumvirate leadership teams to operate more effectively – both as individual leaders and as teams. I led an innovative piece of work with a CCG to develop their GPs alongside senior hospital clinicians to engender a systems focus across the medical leadership community. This was evaluated externally as highly successful with evidence of positive impact on service development and, in turn, patients.My move to Hay Group coincided with the move of the National NHS Graduate Training Scheme to the NHS Leadership Academy. I was approached to continue my work with this programme and co-designed a new programme of Experiential Learning for the 2013 intake which I co-delivered with NHS Leadership Academy staff. I was successfully awarded a position as Faculty for the NHS Leadership Academy and extended my portfolio of work with them to a Senior Operational Leaders programme designed for senior nurses. In addition to this, I was design lead for the groundbreaking Frontline programme which was undertaken by 5000 nurses and midwives. This involved creation of online learning materials together with stimulating face to face workshops which I helped recruit and develop associates to deliver in order to meet the high aspirations of volume set at a national level.

I led teams and worked across a broad range of development programmes; designing and delivering interventions to meet the needs of the particular group/individuals with whom I was working. I worked closely with the commissioning client - from initial tender response through to pitch and delivery - to ensure their expectations were exceeded. I also developed experience in working with partner organisations to build innovative and effective responses to client requests. My work ranged from leading Open Programmes such as Management for SpRs to developing bespoke approaches for development interventions for individual organisations. One notable piece of work was an organisational and leadership development programme for Macmillan. Based on concepts of leading in complex systems and designed to achieve a shift in the way Macmillan engages with the NHS to improve outcomes for people affected by cancer; the programme had a positive impact both nationally in the delivery of cancer care and internally in the way Macmillan engage across their organisation.

Alongside maintaining an operational management role within cardiology at Harefield Hospital I was responsible for a large portfolio of contracts the Trust held with the East of England. Working collaboratively with the PCTs my key achievements within this post included:• Working with clinicians to continue the development of a highly effective primary PCI service and extending it out to patients resident in the East of England• Negotiating and agreeing contracts with all PCTs• Procuring and implementing an integrated cardiology/radiology information system to ensure the seamless scheduling of patients and transfer of images
