• I am a fully qualified Connexions Personal Adviser with 22 years experience of giving advice, guidance and support to a variety of people of different ages and from different backgrounds. • My interpersonal skills are excellent, which enabled me to raise participation, establish good working relationships and avoid conflict. • Being a motivating and influential team member was an important in my role as a Connexions Adviser and in nursing, I would like a job that had some degree of team work.• A large part of my role required me working on my own, which meant I needed to use my initiative and be self reliant. Managing a very large caseload and keeping accurate records for my caseload necessitated good time management skills, the ability to prioritise work and to work well under pressure. It also necessitated good administration skills. Highlights of my Career• Employee Of The Month – nominated and awarded the Nord Anglia Employee of the Month.• Participated in a ‘Jobs without Training’ Project, assisting the University of Exeter to evaluate young people not in work with Training.• Regenerated/re-developed the Employment Service for Wiltshire County Council• Excellent Staff Reviews (for which I have a Portfolio) praising me on my innovative and dedicated approach to work. • Motivating large numbers of young people into education or training courses• Established good working relationships, young people have often thanked me for the support I have given and if they have needed help in the future have often requested to work with me again.• Producing and updating information for staff and young people that was considered to be a valuable resource by my colleagues. I was complemented by management for using my initiative and for the extra time I put in to do this.• Achieving and excelling with all my targets on a regular basis and managing the highest caseload in Connexions.
