Have been working at a private practice for the past 16 years, providing individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Provides supervision for LSW’s and LCP’s as well as other clinicians who believe their work can benefit from supervision. Liza has over 25 years of experience in social work in a variety of settings, including the inpatient and outpatient units in a mental health hospital, a geriatric inpatient unit, foster and adoption care and work with adolescent mothers, who were also wards of the state. Liza is passionate about teaching skills to people to empower them to make positive changes in their lives. Proficient in a variety of treatment modalities, DBT, CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, meditation and play therapy, as well as being certified in Grief and Loss therapy. Liza is competent at finding the modality or combination of modalities that best fits each person’s uniqueness.In her free time, you may find Liza taking pictures, practicing yoga, meditating, reading, engaging in new activities that take her out of her comfort zone or spending time with friends and family.
