Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI) is the first Pre-K through 8th grade Spanish-immersion, independent school in the Bay Area. Students at EBI become biliterate in Spanish and English while developing conversation skills in Mandarin. EBI's international and multilingual program develops students with the critical thinking skills, knowledge and empathy necessary to take action for positive change in a global community.​The Director of Admissions oversees the admissions office, creation of the admissions budget, marketing materials, mailings and publications. Develops and implements engaging admissions recruitment events, tours and presentations. Manages lead generation, community outreach initiatives, website content and analytics as well as the following:• Establish relationships with parents through a meaningful admissions process; conduct parent interviews and student assessments to determine fit• Accurately create and monitor statistical reports to efficiently develop recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency • Develop and execute the Admission department’s research-based marketing and communications plan to promote EBI’s visibility, generate student leads and support a sequential communications flow from parent inquiry to student enrollment• Oversee the management, storage and archival of all student and applicant records

• Founded the first Spanish-English bilingual, independent school in California. EBI offers the International Baccalaureate Program for students from pre-kinder through 8th grade• Opened in 2006, one year ahead of schedule and with 80 students. Over 4 times more than projected• Analyzed industry trends and compiled market research data to inform planning and strategy• Recruited and established a twelve-member, founding board of trustees that included experts from the education, legal, finance and real estate sectors• Launched a successful start-up capital campaign that enabled the school to secure a facility, create a marketing campaign and hire a founding staff and faculty with over 15 employees• Conducted an International head search to secure outstanding leadership for the school• Supervised the development of a marketing communications plan to recruit families and hire faculty and staff. Including all print marketing materials, branding, web design and content• Oversaw the development of a $1.3 million school operating/start-up budget and financial projections• Developed systems and processes for managing school operations, from admissions and fundraising to teacher hiring and assessment• Secured preschool license, managed 501c3 application process and facilities code compliance requirements

• Developed interactive, story-based, language program, “Aprendo Español”, and all accompanying teaching and take-home materials• Taught over 200 students, ages 3-7, across East Bay public, independent and home-school groups as well as for Berkeley Habitot Museum classes for young children• Managed enrollment, payments, schedules and communications

• Worked with the Bilingual Programs Coordinator to support the Santa Cruz office of bilingual education with enrollment procedures, student assessments, and office management• Supported bilingual student learning in 3rd through 5th grades
