Global

As Global Ops Manager, I created processes to improve efficiency and facilitate scalability: I redesigned our retreat budget and payment-tracking system, created reporting criteria and onboarding/training materials, and developed a project management system. I also managed cross-cultural relationships with our globally distributed team and suppliers across time zones, and researched and negotiated contracts for all retreat elements (housing, work/event spaces, transportation, etc.). As a result of my efforts, Unsettled scaled significantly: 10 retreats in 5 locations in 2017 increased to 41 retreats in 15 locations in 2018, and our team grew from 8 to 30 people.

Global

Part sales, part customer service, and part coaching, I helped curate the multicultural and professionally diverse groups that attend Unsettled retreats. I interviewed and vetted candidates through personal and honest conversations to set expectations and generate interest and excitement. As an Admissions Associate, I filled more than 3 entire retreats for Unsettled, closing more than 60 deals and generating over $100,000 USD in revenue.

As an Unsettled Location Manager, I wore many hats: event planner, researcher, contract manager, local guide, host and companion for groups of 20-30 international professionals. I managed multicultural (and multilingual) relationships and communications, developed and maintained local partnerships, budgeted, tracked and managed expenses, and helped design and facilitate immersive, local experiences.
