Are you curious about how the mind, body, spirit connection can enhance your life? Well, that's what my life’s work all about! I’m Liza, a Pilates Teacher and Healing Arts Practioner. Sharing tools to recharge your batteries and tap into ways to come into any situation with a clear mind and an enlivened spirit is what I am most passionate about. My career began while I was in law school as a Court Advocate for a Battered Women’s Shelter where I helped victims of abuse navigate through the legal process. Back then, my mission was to help people EMPOWER THE MINDOn my way court one day, I was hit by a big rig. The impact was so great, I could not look up or down for long periods of time without excruciating pain until the place I was doing physical therapy at introduced me to Pilates. Healing with Pilates changed my life; I decided to switch careers from family law and become a Pilates teacher. My new mission was to EMPOWER THE BODYIn 2005, I decided to open my own Pilates studio and Pilates Encore was born. While my teaching style is focused on precision, form, and working closely with clients to help them achieve their unique fitness goals, I have always been fascinated with the healing arts.Over the years, I have learned that nurturing and aligning the spirit with the mind and body can have profound effects on one's health and happiness. I started to teach and lecture on practices that promote spiritual well-being including mindfulness meditation, visualization, breathwork, and energy healing. In 2018, I partnered radio personality Nick V of the Baka Boyz and created Heal ’n Hip Hop, a radio show that shares holistic tools and principles that can enhance, heal and uplift your life. This medium completes the triad and promotes my mission to EMPOWER THE SPIRIT.With the mission to empower the MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT, I continue to be a presenter and educator in the community. I have presented at conferences and workshops around the world, sharing my knowledge and expertise with other like-minded professionals. My most recent venture has been developing a stretch program for working professionals to reduce stress, increase energy, improve posture, reduce the risk of injury, increase productivity, and improve overall health and well-being. Integrating the healing arts and Pilates fitness allows individuals to tap into their inner wisdom, find balance, and experience a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment in their wellness journey.
