A skilled nonprofit organizational development, communications, and project management strategist with an arsenal of well-honed creative skills, I am committed to utilizing my diverse professional background to accelerate the mission of purpose-driven organizations. In 2012, I transitioned to the non-profit sector from entertainment and cultural production, knowing I wanted to use my passion for storytelling to make a practical impact. I went on to help shape entrepreneurial organizations that changed the way their constituencies engaged with local government and social issues. I often joke that I started working in the social sector to make a difference, and along the way I got an MBA from the School of Making It Work. Building a non-profit from the ground up was a crash course in every aspect of non-profit management, and along the journey I have found my greatest skill set in generating compelling content, strategic planning, network building, and executing memorable events from school programs to industry convenings. I believe that visual culture has a key role to play in communicating ideas in disarming, engaging ways that break barriers and provide opportunities for greater unity and collaboration in our complex global context. The arts are an invaluable component to our public life; empowering artists and facilitating deep collaborations with communities builds a foundation for cities to thrive. I would love to hear about how your organization works with creatives to empower people and build bridges across social, political, economic and cultural divides!

Project ManagerLifetime Arts Mar 2022 - Jan 2024New York City Metropolitan AreaAt Lifetime Arts, we work to ensure that older adults everywhere have access to high-quality Creative Aging programs, regardless of geographic location or economic circumstances. The health benefits of continued learning, art making, and social engagement are undeniable, but it can be hard for older adult serving organizations to pull together the resources for programming. Lifetime arts works with all sorts of organizations to develop sustainable programming plans, as well as training and supporting their staff and teaching artists. We also advocate for the importance of integrating creative aging into the social fabric of our communities. My role is focused on helping guide strategic projects across the organization, to ensure we have as much impact as possible within our capacity. -
Creative Producer & ArtistLiza Cucco Studio 2004 - PresentLondon, New York City And Los AngelesThroughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work freelance for a wide variety of commercial and non-profit organizations as a designer, filmmaker, creative producer, and content writer. From redesigning the branding for small businesses to producing and directing music videos, this range of creative work has given me an insight into the production process for all forms of digital and visual media as well as entertainment. Former employers include 20th Century Fox, Imagi Animation Studios, Nickelodeon, and a large variety of smaller commercial and nonprofit organizations. In addition, I maintain a media-based art practice inclusive of moving images, sound, performance, photography, and sculptural installation. It is my belief that a personal rootedness in visual arts facilitates continual innovation, critical thinking and out-of-the box problem-solving in my other work. I am passionate about using the vast range of artistic and design knowledge to creatively drive forward the mission of the purpose-focused organizations I work with.
