Through its educational programs and activities, the university strives to meet the educational needs and to contribute to the vitality of the East Bay, the state, the nation, and global communities.Responsibilities include: Leading a full-spectrum of development and fundraising strategies specific to the College of Business & Economics; focusing primarily on securing individual major gift support - developing and implementing fundraising actions for identification, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation to secure funding; facilitating corporate and foundation support; building a pipeline of leadership & annual giving donors; collaborating with the college dean, department chairs, and faculty to identify funding priorities, determining feasibility for proposed projects, and developing and managing comprehensive strategies to secure gifts for selected priorities; having a clear understanding of the dean's vision and mission as well as knowledge of the college departments, centers, and programs to effectively lead the overall fundraising efforts; and facilitating effective communication between the College and University Advancement.

The Kelsey pioneers disability-forward, inclusive housing solutions that open doors to more affordable homes and opportunities for everyone. The Kelsey builds housing as well as leads efforts to advance strategies and policies to make communities more inclusive. For the 1 in 4 Americans with a disability, an affordable home in the community is often impossible to find. The Kelsey is changing that. We believe solving the disability housing crisis is an opportunity to build better, more connected communities for everyone, everywhere.Responsibilities included: leading fundraising efforts to develop a robust strategy and framework while identifying areas for increased funding capacity or organization impact; executing new funding partnerships and strengthening relationships with current and potential funders through donor relations strategies, impact reporting, and tracking donor interests and needs; aggregating and managing data related to program impact, financial growth, project schedules, and organization strategy; responding to strategic opportunities, new development opportunities, and supporting feasibility assessments and potential impact of new programs; researching grant opportunities, writing proposals and reporting.

Bishop O'Dowd High School is a Catholic, college preparatory high school educating students to build a more just, joyful, and sustainable world. O'Dowd's charism includes: community in diversity, strength of character, academic excellence, kinship with creation, social justice, and joy. Founded in 1951, Bishop O'Dowd High School is known for providing its students with academic, co-curricular, and faith opportunities that help them achieve at the highest levels and prepare them for college and beyond. Responsibilities included: creating and leading alumni relations program, including cultivation and stewardship strategies to strengthen alumni engagement and philanthropy; serving as a major gifts officer in a successful $40M capital campaign; developing new alumni opportunities, programs and events; partnering with alumni to increase class participation and giving; producing alumni social media content and accounts; fostering connections with prospective donors and deepening relationships with current supporters; leading or being an active member of planned giving and special project campaigns; creating and managing the alumni relations internship program; and promoting alumni linkage, outreach and involvement.

The American Heart Association's mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The Greater Bay Area Heart Walk is the second largest American Heart Association fundraising event in the United States - #1 in the Western States Affiliate - raising over $2.9 million annually from corporate and individual donors to fund research, education, training and advocacy efforts.Responsibilities included: prospecting and cultivating partnerships with Bay Area corporations and organizations; creating & managing the Heart Walk internship program; identifying, cultivating, and recruiting leadership volunteers to reach fundraising goals; identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate participation including high-level sponsorship and company teams; developing and implementing year-round pipelines and cultivation plans for corporate accounts and volunteer leadership.

Youth Market represents Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart, both national fundraising programs sponsored by the American Heart Association and AAHPERD. Youth Market promotes physical activity, heart-healthy living, and community service.Responsibilities included: directing market operations in five counties; recruiting and managing over 150 accounts and 300 lead volunteers; establishing and overseeing implementation timelines; leading program execution; negotiating revenue goals; cold calling, prospecting, and securing new accounts; tracking progress to evaluate fundraising strategies; develop marketing plans; creating cultivation plans that retain and grow existing accounts.

The Peninsula Family YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of San Francisco, builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities by enriching the lives of all people in spirit, mind and body. The Peninsula Family YMCA serves over 11,000 people annually, including 3,500 youth and families who are participants in the Youth Service Bureau Community Social Service programs.Responsibilities included: managing annual fundraising campaign by providing leadership and training to all volunteers and staff; creating cultivation and stewardship strategies for financial growth; partnering with the board to build prospect pipelines and increase revenue streams; identifying and securing new major gifts; developing relationships with prospective donors and strengthening relationships with current patrons; producing all PR materials for community outreach programs; managing media exposure for outreach events and programs; researching and writing grant proposals.
