A global pandemic and the rise of social media are just a couple of issues that our parents and grandparents never even had to worry about. When your child is struggling due to the complexities in their day-to-day lives and the world over, parenting can feel overwhelming and often debilitating. Regardless of where the struggle happens, at home, in school, between homes, etc., mental health resources can be sparse. Parents do their best when challenging and stressful situations arise, but there is simply not a lot of support for parents as they try to navigate the many challenges their children are beginning to face. Sara Ginsberg and Liza Gallagher meet with parents for a comprehensive, collaborative, and team-based approach that aligns with your family. We strive to help parents be intentional, to make deliberate decisions, and to be proactive. Our multifaceted approach includes developing and executing a plan for the entire family and putting together a team of providers and resources. We work with parents’ schedules to create an individualized plan based on your goals and help break it down into manageable steps, adjusting along the way as needed. We track progress and commit to meeting objectives set during our initial session together. We look at the whole picture and take a non-judgemental, open, and honest approach to facilitate change within a family, helping parents build their strengths and learn new skills while receiving the support they need.
