* Launched a new web-based registry surveillance system in September 2010, used for reporting and managing all TB patients. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including the software vendor to develop and customize the system to meet all functional requirements. Prior to going live, this involved several data projects such as migrating thirty years of patient data from the previous mainframe; ensuring accurate electronic reporting processes; mapping a secure data extract to report to funding agencies; developing and testing key reports, workflow processes, user security; and implementing the system in multiple stages, including six weeks of User Acceptance Testing and two weeks of pilot testing.* Designed and directed the training for over 250 staff on how to use the new system. Created education and training materials, conducted multiple trainings targeted for different levels of end users, assessed training needs, and compiled user feedback.* Monitor and improve the system by releasing new deployments, conducting quality checks of data, identifying user needs, creating additional training materials and guidelines, documenting and troubleshooting issues.* Ensure accurate reporting of demographic, clinical, and contact investigation data to federal funding agencies.* Collaborate and consult with other bureaus and non-NYC jurisdictions that are implementing surveillance systems with the same software.
