Division Head Of Fleet Management
CurrentResponsible for the management, planning, organization, and implementation of Fleet Management goals and objectives; coordinates and integrates assigned activities toward the achievement of established goals and objectives of the City's strategic plan● Administers the management, implementation, and control of current Fleet Management budgets which includes funds for the replacement of automobiles, light and heavy equipment, trucks, and fire apparatus; ensures all functions and programs within the division operate and perform within established budgetary parameters, to include monitoring expenditures and ensuring sound fiscal control● Institutes, attends, participates, and/or leads a variety of management, executive, fleet forum andadministrative departmental meetings to keep up with trends in Fleet and Fuel services management issues, Federal, State, and local changes, and funding concerns. Present budget items to the City Council as needed● Selects, supervises, trains, and evaluates Fleet Services personnel either directly or through subordinatesupervisors. Partners with Human Resources on employee relations issues; recommends, administers andcounsels disciplinary actions● Plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates the work of the Fleet Management Department including establishing and maintaining productivity standards and quality control on repair work and preventive maintenance programs● Oversees the development and maintenance of automated fleet management and fuel systems, whichprovides data regarding usage, cumulative costs, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles. Also, allocates fuel to City fueling sites● Develops and implements long-range maintenance plans and service level agreements● Provides guidance and oversight for developing, implementing, and monitoring vendor contracts● Procures, manages, and assists in the preparation of specifications for the purchasing, or replacing, of City vehicles and light/heavy equipment to all departments
