Through collaboration and visionary leadership, Polk County Health Services advocates for comprehensive access to services, advocacy, and education that empowers individuals and families for better wellbeing and quality of life across their lifespan. We ensure safe, affordable homes are available to people living with brain health conditions or disabilities by owning and maintaining 75 residential properties throughout central Iowa. In partnership with community leaders, consumers of services, advocates, providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and legislators, we break down barriers. Our efforts reduce stigma, connect people, and ensure access to resources. Our continuous innovation allows for system improvement, flexibility, and responsiveness. Prevent Child Abuse Iowa is dedicated to ending child abuse through partnerships with community organizations, legislators, social service organizations, schools, and families dedicated to strengthening families - nurturing healthy happy childhoods for every kid in Iowa.

Facilitate and mediate conflict resolution discussions on an as-needed basis for discussions concerning child welfare, truancy, and the victims offender reconciliation program (VORP) as adjudicated through the office of the Polk County Attorney. Mediation sessions also include working toward resolution on neighborhood disputes, and resolving conflicts among students within Polk County school systems.

In partnership with community stakeholders, The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative generates sustainable system-wide health and wellness improvement in Iowa's communities, businesses (both public and private), and organizations by crafting, managing and deploying specific marketing, communication, event production, public relations strategies and media inquiries to drive engagement in the principles of the Healthiest State Initiative. A team-based, comprehensive approach to the diversities of well-being and public health requiring message management, stakeholder engagement and successful coordination among multiple organizations such as The Blue Zones Project, departments within the State of Iowa (Public Health, Economic Development, Natural Resources, Transportation, Tourism, Education, the Governor's office, and legislators), The Wellness Council of Iowa, health insurance companies, hospitals, schools, and chambers of commerce.

I am proud to have been an integral part of the start of this juvenile offender diversion program in West Des Moines as it's first director of program operations and development where I served for three years in partnership with the founder and executive director, Claudia Henning, to restore families and our community.
