I am a proud latina student at Highline College pursuing my Bachelors in Applied Science degree in Elementary Education. I am graduating in two years thanks to the running start program allowing me to complete my AA degree when I finished high school in June of 2023. I worked as a writing tutor at Highline College’s Writing Center for the ‘22-‘23 school year and completed level three of the CRLA International tutor training program certification. This year, I am working as a para educator at an elementary school in FWPS so I am able to have experience going into the education field. I am also working at Highline college as the Equity, Diversity, and Transformation student ambassador working under one of the vice presidents of the college, Dra. Maribel Jimenez, whom I have had the privilege to learn from and work with these past two years. After these next two years of my education, I am planning on completing a masters in Education and I’m also planning on going into higher education further along in my career.
