Gourmet Uncorked makes gourmet meals accessible to everyone, regardless of time or skill. Lizette Leanza’s creative cooking and kitchen shortcuts make it easy for anyone to prepare and enjoy healthy meals that taste amazing. Lizette was born and raised in New Orleans by Argentine/Italian and Cuban/Spanish parents. She learned her way around the kitchen at an early age by watching her mother and grandmother prepare generations of family recipes. The multi-cultural aspects of her upbringing are evident throughout her innovative dishes and recipe creations. Lizette further refined the art of cooking and wine pairings through her world travels and volunteer work at a local cooking school, where she assisted and learned from leading chefs in the Southeast. Lizette is also a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and a member of the Society of Wine Educators. Lizette's passion is spreading joy by sharing her love of food and wine through the creation of unique flavor combinations and pairings. With the encouragement and support of friends and family, Lizette launched Gourmet Uncorked as a means to share her passion for food, family and life. The site is rich with international culture, traditions and creative family recipes, each of which is expertly paired with complimentary wines. Formerly an accountant, campus recruiter and event planner, Lizette is an avid gourmet, party planner, website consultant and stay-at-home mother of two young girls. She is also available for private cooking lessons, wine pairing dinners and wine education. Lizette currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, children and two Pomeranians.
