My professional interests include a combination of marine ecological research and science education. I am the CEO and Founder of Ocean Science Analytics (OSA), a company that conducts research and technical training related to the oceanic and coastal environments. Prior to OSA, I worked for Bio-Waves, Inc., a marine mammal bioacoustic company, and prior to that I spent eight years as a Bioacoustician/Oceanographer and Outreach Coordinator at Southwest Fisheries Science Center, NOAA Fisheries. Elements of my positions included passive acoustic data analysis, project management and evaluation, PAM survey coordination and management, GIS analysis and mapping, and technical curricula development and implementation. My current research interests include temporal and spatial distributions and abundance of marine mammals, bio-physical interactions of marine vertebrates, predator-prey interactions, and passive acoustic monitoring for detection, tracking and mitigation purposes.
