CHILDWISE is an independent market research agency specialising in children and young people's media behaviour, sports participation and mental health. It conducts independent research on behalf of government agencies, charities, broadcasters and brands. I was recruited to grow media coverage and raise the profile of CHILDwiseThis was achieved by: - identifying stories with media potential from their research- writing content for press releases, social media and website-building a database and forming relationships with national journalists and media influencersThis resulted in:- Gaining coverage on and offline in key nationals such as The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph and The BBC- Raising profile of Childwise as the go-to organisation for specialist research on children- Building strong relationships with high profile journalistsIn the four years since I began working with Childwise, it is now regarded by journalists as the leading expert on children's use of media. I continue to support as their press officer, dealing with media inquiries, disseminating press releases.

I created and edited content for the national marketing campaign for Get into Golf – a high-profile and successful recruitment programme to inspire people to take up golf.Get into Golf is run by England Golf and supported by Sport England National Lottery funding. It is delivered by clubs and PGA professionals through beginner activities and follow-on sessions.In the five years from when I started creating and editing content for the campaign, it has connected with millions of people, building brand awareness and transforming perceptions of the game. The content helped create a lifestyle brand that would connect with people by communicating the health and well-being benefits that golf can bring. I have been instrumental in shifting perceptions of golf as a game that's good for your health and well-being, writing content that looks at how playing can reduce stress and risk of blood pressure, heart attacks and stroke, keep you in shape and even help you live longer. The campaign and its content resulted in 180,925 people attending a beginner activity and 22,506 new golf club memberships between 2013-2017 and the number of women participating dramatically increased to 43%. This was achieved by identifying an untapped market, only 13% of golf club members are female.
