My passion for sustainability, engineering, and materials converged during a pivotal course at Georgia Tech in Sustainable Engineering. It was towards the end of my undergraduate degree, that I had an epiphany - this was the path I was meant to follow! That light-bulb moment drove me to remain at Georgia Tech, researching as much as I could in the area of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for building materials until I earned my doctorate in Environmental Engineering.I am now at Interface, working in a small, dynamic Sustainability Department. Interface has been a business leader in sustainability for decades, and I'm thrilled to be on the team! I lead our technical sustainability team, which develops sustainability strategy to help us meet our ambitious targets, works closely with our innovation team to drive positive impact, and manages data collection and reporting for our GHG emissions inventory (Scope 1, 2 and 3).I pride myself on taking on challenging problems, dividing into manageable parts, and devising timely, complete solutions. Every day I am ecstatic that I get to problem-solve to find optimal solutions for planet, people, and profit.Areas of Expertise: Corporate Sustainability Strategy • Science Based Targets • Environmental Reporting & Carbon Footprint • Supply chain transparency and resource management • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) & Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) • Material Transparency (HPD, Declare, Cradle to Cradle) • LEED / Fitwel / Green building certifications • Energy efficiency • Fleet efficiency • Experience Working with ASHRAE, IECC, and Energy Star Codes and Requirements • Material Selection Optimization • Lunch and Learns • Mentorship • Technical Writing
