* Assists attorneys in initiating and preparing documents necessary to file a patent application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign patent offices* Proofreads documents, prepares various correspondence for attorney signature, and prepares and files applications, declarations, assignments, information disclosure statements, and other transactional documents* Coordinates prosecution of patent applications, supervises work, and prepares and files communications with the USPTO* Reviews Office Actions and other USPTO communications and prepares initial draft of response including pending claims and a statement of the grounds for rejection* Maintains and monitors Intellectual Property electronic and paper docketing system*Reviews and dockets due dates for incoming actions and correspondence * Tracks and facilitates the payment of legal fees to government agencies, as well as to domestic and international law firms*Verbal and written correspondence with client regarding invention disclosure material, file openings, transmittal of official documents, bar dates, and application status* Communicates with Patent Examiners and other USPTO personnel regarding routine matters as directed by attorneys* Develops and maintains knowledge of the United States Patent & Trademark Office Rules and Procedures See less

I handle the circulation of our 3 publications: Franchise Times, Restaurant Finance Monitor and Foodservice News. This includes developing marketing to increase our audience development, new subscribers, and subscription renewals. I also took on the project of updating all of our existing subscription records for Franchise Times be audited by BPA, of which I implement audits twice yearly.I also take care of the attendee registrations for the different conferences we hold off-site throughout the year. Attendance for these shows range from 250 - 2500 attendees.
