• Screening clients for eligibility to be admitted into Behavioral Services Center for treatment.• Providing a detailed orientation to clients during intake, about their legal rights and facility expectations while engaging in treatment at Behavioral Services Center.• Assessing clients to determine appropriate level of care to establish a treatment plan.• Preparing treatment plans with clients.• Facilitating group and individual counseling with clients.• Providing clients with case management by establishing utilizing contacts to assist clients in meeting treatment/life goals.• Making myself available to clients to provide crisis intervention/prevention strategies.• Educating clients both individually and in group settings about substance abuse and resources available to attain help and sustain long-term recovery. • Determining necessity and referring clients out to obtain the appropriate level of care when necessary.• Consulting with licensed clinical staff about quality care for patients of the facility, and making appropriate adjustments for level of care as deemed necessary.• Intervening when necessary to prevent the progression of a substance use disorder.• Working with EAP, Criminal Justice Personnel, and School system personnel to intervene with clients displaying adverse behaviors to prevent progression of a substance use disorder.• Maintaining and generating detailed reports for record keeping and organizing files for quality control guidelines as outlined by DMH, DASA, and DHS licensing.

Co-founded a program within the company to assist emerging adults with substance use and comorbid affective disorders by providing them with work, and as a stipulation of employment, they must attend an empirically based stress management/life-skills group for thirty-minutes post work day. My duties include constructing a program of topics to address, and facilitate each group either on an individual or group basis depending on personal necessity of the participants.
