I am passionate about inspiring the next generation to succeed and making a positive difference to the world we live in, which is why I started my career in education. However, I soon realised that the classroom was not for me, as I wanted to reach more students from all backgrounds in modern ways which brought learning to life with excitement and vibrancy. This started me on my curriculum design path - utilising the power of technology to make learning accessible and engaging for all. During my time at EdPlace, I developed a real passion for our product and worked with our CEO and fantastic team to create an innovative, industry-leading platform around which the success of our business was built. So how did I move into operations? We found during the pandemic that the need for personalised, accessible technical solutions was essential for all students, so we made the decisive step to open our platform up as a free resource. Our business model changed overnight and an urgent and obvious need for greater operational support became clear. My previous experience in business and people management made me ideally placed to offer this, whilst continuing to support our curriculum and product design teams. Since the pandemic, we haven’t looked back as a team, going from strength to strength and continuing to innovate and improve both our product and business practices.At EdPlace, we’re on a mission to support 1 million students to build confidence and succeed academically by learning and revising the smart way. In my career I’m on a mission to make a difference in the world, whilst loving what I do and who I am doing it with.
