The Douglass Psychology Child Study Center is a twelve-month Rutgers University preschool sponsored and operated by the Psychology Department. The Center provides education and childcare for children ages 2-5 years of age and can trace its history back over eighty-five years. During my internship I have:● Assisted the lead teacher with snack and lunchtime, arts and crafts, and putting the children down for naps.● Supported 2 classroom teachers in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for a group of 15 preschoolers. ● Created and implemented a total of 5 lessons and activities for the preschoolers● Organized and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
