About Liz Spencer

I am an HR leader with over 20 years of international Compensation & Benefits experience, gained in contexts of growth, merger & acquisition, and business transformation with Diageo, Cadbury and BP. I have also worked at director level in a boutique reward consultancy.Prior generalist HR and management development experience was with Rolls-Royce, British Steel and GrandMet/Diageo. Since moving out of corporate life, my focus has been on governance roles in the not for profit and charity sectors. I have been a non executive member of the remuneration committee of the National Trust since 2017, and have been confirmed for a third term starting in 2023. I was a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors from 2015 to 2022. I am a Trustee of a Multi Academy Trust that includes a large girls’ secondary school on whose governing body I have been Deputy Chair. 
