Attend monthly board meetings of Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia (BYOV) and participate in committees targeting specific areas of the organization such as fundraising, budget, scholarships and volunteers. As member of the First Annual BYOV 5k Run committee, helped coordinate and prepare for the event that raised $8,000 in August 2017. Currently on the committee for the Second Annual BYOV 5k Run scheduled for summer 2018.

Participated in monthly Tidewater Aquatic Club (TAC) board meetings conducted to oversee and troubleshoot any issues or problems with the club. As Age Group Representative, was responsible for planning social activities and acted as liaison between TAC members and the Board of Directors.

Provided one-on-one and group tutoring for math and English in elementary, middle and high schools. Assist in many school fundraisers and events. While living in Japan, taught English as a Second Language privately and to Japanese sailors attending the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.

Conducted and developed Initial Studies (ISs) and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) for various projects in the Monterey Bay, CA area. Duties included fieldwork, working directly with clients and writing and reviewing ISs and EIRs. Required extensive research in specific and general projects and/or coordinating specialists to provide research and input for the reports. Delivered a quality product to customers within established deadlines.

Rota, Spain

Office Assistant in a busy overseas NMCRS office. Duties included answering the phone, assisting clients and inputting the weekly caseload to be delivered to the NMCRS Headquarters. Casework duties consisted of meeting with clients to determine needs and conducting monthly financial budgets for those clients. Advised clients about resources available to assist them. In the absence of the Executive Director, took on role of Assistant Executive Director. These duties included approving client loans based on information provided by caseworkers and presenting highlights of what NMCRS does and assistance/services available to incoming families at weekly newcomer briefs.
