Liz worked for nine years at the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (Now WBEC Greater DMV) , most recently as the Executive Director of the Washington DC region, where she raised funds, managed budgets, and directed the WBENC certification operations for women business owners in addition to providing training for women business owners to access corporate supply chains. She received an award from the Small Business Administration as the Women’s Business Champion of the year for the DC Metro region in 2009. She has also received a Salute award from WBENC in 2008.Accomplishments• Coordinated the Host Council of local women’s business enterprises for the WBENC Annual National Conference and Business Fair in Baltimore in 2010 raising funds and support for a 3500 person conference • Developed governmental and organizational partnership to expand the reach and profile of the organization• Maintained a consistent increase in certification and renewal rate over 2.5 years
