• Aid in the design, testing, and implementation of a mHelath hypertension diagnostic and treatment program, funded by NIH, in a primarily indigenous community, San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala with 17,000 inhabitants• Conducted a literature review of mHealth hypertension programs in low-and-middle-income countries, to provide the basis for future project research reports for publication• Researched and summarized causes of the disproportionately high rates of maternal mortality in Guatemala’s indigenous communities, highlighting the importance of cultural practices and preferences in health intervention• Conducted statistical data analysis, paired-t-tests, to determine effectiveness of community health promoters' training
