I am a business development specialist, who brings almost 20 years of commercial experience of working in, and growing, private and third sector organisations. I have experience of working in agency and client roles and as the managing director of a multi-million pound business, and I specialise in the youth market, and have worked with household name brands who have seeking to access the elusive Gen Z. Key successes include increasing loyalty and renewals amongst existing NUS extra cardholders, securing investment into building capabilities to grow solutions for students in schools and FE, and creating attractive, mutually beneficial B2B solutions to enable partners to access the dynamic student market. NUS100 is the strategy that takes NUS to its 100th birthday, and marks an exciting period in terms of utilising the vast talent of the student movement to deliver its ambitious aims.It also marks a shift in the way that NUS delivers its work. With the creation of this new role, I am responsible for creating ways of aligning NUS with NUS100, through the design and implementation of programmatic delivery. Key successes within this role are:- Establishing programme groups and ensuring that they are steered by a strategy advisory group- Ensuring our three major entity boards are able to steer our overall strategy and receive effective strategic performance management information- Directing the delivery culture within NUS from that of directorate based goals to overarching strategic goals and dynamic teams- Design and implementation of a project management office to improve management information- Developing a collaboration culture and ensuring the strategy supports our members in delivering their own strategies, and that this is replicated in supporting the delivery of officer manifestos.- Appraising our schedule of delegated authority and implementing a RAPID decision making system.This role calls upon my energetic approach, ability to influence at all levels, and confidence as a senior leader, leading change in order to improve outcomes.You can read more about NUS100 at the link below.
