I was responsible for leading two projects which fed directly into a business blue chip. I followed the Facilities Project Management model to create a costed and resourced schedule and was responsible for compiling an £11m proposal which was delivered to the external customer. This role taught me about the Project Management principals and tools as well as giving me accountability experience.

This role involved identifying opportunities to implement technologies into an MRO and OE engine assembly facility. I lead a project to implement tablets onto the shop floor to allow operators to work more efficiently using Manufacturing Engineering software programmes whilst carrying out the tasks on the engines. This involved liaising with external suppliers as well as the Rolls-Royce IT department to ensure the systems could be correctly integrated within the required time frame.

Working on the development and introduction of new technologies into an engine assembly and MRO facility. This role involved leading a trial of Honeywell’s Vocollect voice instructions technology. I liaised directly with the supplier and the shop floor to identify modifications to be made to Vocollect to ensure that the it was capable of improving the way the operators carried out their inspection tasks and a time and cost saving was realised.

Working within the Trent XWB project team, I gained experience and understanding of the manufacturing engineering processes used to control and manage the risks involved in delivering products on time and at the required quality standard.

Assisting with the coaching of physically and mentally handicapped and visually impaired children and young adults, helping to develop their skills and understanding of the game.

Leading and assisting with the running of coaching sessions for girls aged 10-17. The ability to motivate and encourage whilst ensuring key coaching points were included in sessions was demonstrated. Leadership and communication skills were developed when delivering sessions and adapting ideas for diferent abilities of player.
