The group developed unified messaging, coordinated outreach efforts and created a central clearinghouse for information about going solar in Oregon, making the research and decisionmaking process simpler and shorter for customers. - Leveraged the successful work of Solar Now! and assisted with grant writing to secure repeated federal grants totaling $700,000 to support local and statewide activities and establish local clean energy expertise in rural regions of the state through Solar Now! University. - Created a peertopeer network of state solar thermal incentive programs to share knowledge and experiences, resulting in the launch of California's statewide solar water heating program with a more effective initial design due to input from the group. - Adapted Solarize into a corporate engagement strategy for energy efficiency and solar, resulting in successful projects with Columbia Sportswear, Nike and Intel.
