I'm a fourth-year engineering and German student at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, with a passion for aviation. I have extensive experience working on amateur rocketry and flight computing projects, from which I've developed a core expertise in programming and electronics. I also spent a summer doing aerodynamics research at a trisonic wind tunnel facility in Germany, the results of which were presented at the 2023 annual meeting of American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics. I also love weightlifting, hiking, playing the piano, and recently became an FAA-certified student pilot!

I completed a research project at the Aerodynamisches Institut Aachen (AIA) centered on the transonic buffet phenomenon. I worked with Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Schlieren image datasets taken from experiments run on both the RWTH trisonic wind tunnel and the European Transonic Wind Tunnel. I programmed and ran spectral analyses using both Welch's and a multitaper method in order to analyze distinct frequencies within the datasets. I also wrote and ran a Spectral Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (SPOD) based analysis of an airfoil under transonic buffet conditions in order to pick out the prominent structures and frequencies associated with the mechanism.
