Choosing to come to Miami University has given me more opportunities than I expected. I have had the opportunity to make connections with students and professors in the social work and psychology department. I have realized that what I want to do in my future is to help individuals get the treatment/care they need to live a better life. I am a member of Alpha Phi, Best Buddies, as well as Boys and Girls Club which have taught me the skills of communicating and working with others. Through my involvement, my peers have acknowledged my optimistic personality and hard work to help others the best way I can.Through these organizations I have learned a great deal on how to interact with others which is a huge part of being a social worker. I have developed ways to interact with children and those with disabilities through Best Buddies and Boys and Girls club, as well as learned how to communicate with other Greek Life members to plan philanthropy and social events. I would love to continue to grow on how best to help children and families who need it and gain more experience on how to help individuals in need.I would love to connect with you.
