My role as both sales operations and marketing support involves in-store jewellery sales, as well as actively maintaining brand consistency, both customer-facing and digitally. I have also participated in a commercial writing course with the company, which has enabled my writing to evolve and become more business-orientated and engaging.

In this role, my responsibilities include correcting any grammatical errors, analysing the larger plot of a manuscript and giving constructive feedback. This involved having a good knowledge of how to use editing software on Microsoft Word, being able to give clear and constructive criticism, and working to tight deadlines.

I wrote travel articles that focused on my own experiences and travel recommendations. Being travel editor for York Vision allowed me to explore my love for travel writing, and gave me control over my creative vision.

I wrote primarily social commentary and lifestyle articles, as well as contributing creative writing pieces.

My work involved monitoring responses to media campaigns, submitting clients for internationally-renowned business awards, distributing weekly newsletters, and collating and creating presentations for clients. I gained transferrable administrative and research skills from this role.
