K6 AQUARIUS MINE RUSRENBURG (2013 November till to date)POWER RETICULATION ON SURFACE AND UNDERGROUND, WIRING OF PANELS.JOB FUNCTION 1: Implementation and management of the Project’s Environmental Health and Safety Management plan.2: Perform daily inspections in order to monitor the Project’s Health and Safety Performance.3: Advise Project Management on matters pertaining to the compliance by the project to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85/1993 and the construction division’s Environmental Health and Safety Manual.4: Take the necessary steps to identify and measure the potential hazards or risks in the working environment from health, safety and environmental aspects within the broad context of preventing occupational injuries and diseases.5: Establish, as far as is reasonable, what dangers to the health and safety of persons and environmental aspects are attached to any work performed, article which is processed, used, handled, stored and any machinery which is used. Further to establish the precautionary measures, this should be taken with respect to such work, article, or machinery in order to protect the safety of persons.6: As far as is reasonable ensure every employee is made conversant with the dangers to his safety attached to any work he has to perform, or article he has to process, use, handle and store and any machinery which he is required or permitted to use, as well as with the precautionary measures which should be taken and observed with respect to those dangers.

AFRICAN MINERALS (TONKOLILI IRON ORE PROJECT-SIERRA LIONE (2011 AUGUST-MAY 2013)-POWER RETICULATION AND STELL ERCTION IN THE DUMPSTATIONS, SHIP LOADER, TRANSFER TOWERS,COVERYOR BELTS,SUBSTATIONS,OVERHEAD LINES AND CONTROL ROOMS.PULLING AND TERMINATING CABLES TO TRANSFORMERS AND SUBSTATIONS-Performing Planned Task Observations to ensure that all the tasks being done on site are done according to the Risk Assessment and the Safe Work Procedure.-Compiles reports and forward to the Contract manager and company safety co-ordinator the same day.-Ensure that all inspections and registers that have been kept and maintain as per the HSE management procedural and standard operating procedure.-Carry out PTO’s as per standard operating procedure.-Ensure communication and training of all risk assessments, safe working procedures to the workforce.

INTERNATIONAL FERRO METALS-BRITS AUGUST 2010 TO 2011 JULYPOWER RETICULATION ON THE CO-GEN PLANT, CONTROL ROOM, AND INSTALLATION OF CABLE RACKS, PULLING HT CABLES AND INSTRUMENTS CABLES.ISOLATION AND COMMISSIONING.TERMINATING AND GLANDING CABLES TO TRANSFORMERS AND SUBSTATIONS.-Regarding Hygiene, identify measure and control potential hazards such as concentrations of flammable, toxic or corrosive gasses, dust, mists and fumes and the intensity and frequency of noise and vibrations.- Regarding Health, to promote and maintain the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of all workers in all occupations.-Ensure that the safety committee is established and at least the monthly meetings take and the minutes are correct and filed as per HSE procedure-Perform daily Inspections in order to monitor the Project’s Health and Safety Performance.-Advise Project Management on Matters to the compliance by the project to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85/1993 and the construction division’s Environment Health and Safety Manual.-Ensure safety reps are carrying out their safety inspections and recording findings correctly.
