Senior Policy Manager
Senior Policy Manager at the British Business Bank, the UK's government-owned economic development bank that aims to make finance markets work better for small businesses in the UK at all stages of their development.A demanding and multi-faceted role in the Bank’s Policy & Strategy team covering a broad policy portfolio, including leading on Regional access to finance issues, spanning existing and future UK & Regional Funds. I co-led on the Bank’s eventually successful Spending Review (SR) proposal for the next generation of UK Funds (successfully launched 2023/24), managing a multi-team project group and leading engagement with Central Government (namely, HMT, BEIS and UKGI). I was the policy lead on the launch and implementation of the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) which provided loans and other facilities of up to £5m for SMEs during 2020-21.
