About Lucas Rowe

Since 2016 I have been working in the engineering and manufacturing industry. My first role was at Sjoberg Tool, a prominent sheet metal company, where I cultivated invaluable communication skills and gained firsthand insights into the intricacies of the manufacturing process. Transitioning to an engineering internship at Price Engineering, I honed my proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft Excel, leveraging these tools to contribute effectively to project development and documentation. I then joined Signicast, where I served as an engineering helper, acquiring practical experience in process optimization and floor management. When I did not have a n internship during college, I worked for Groskopf Construction Inc. where I coordinated material logistics, maintained site cleanliness, and assisted with rough and finish carpentry tasks. This exposure prepared me for my pivotal role as a Senior Technical Intern role at Leonardo DRS, where I spearheaded initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency and safety protocols. Since joining Leonardo DRS full-time in June 2022, I have assumed leadership responsibilities for multiple product lines, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve customer needs and quality standards. Through strategic planning and execution of continuous improvement projects, I have driven measurable enhancements in efficiency, safety, and overall operational effectiveness. With the acquired experience, I was trusted with a hands-on management position tasked with overseeing the seamless transition of a project from Connecticut to Wisconsin. Going beyond the confines of my typical responsibilities, I diligently orchestrated the transfer of materials and operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient relocation process.
