Our programs uniquely combine academic rigor, hands-on experience, and innovative systems to ensure our students excel as counselors, social workers, and educators.As a Director with a background in IT, I focus on implementing cutting-edge systems, processes, and operational frameworks that drive efficiency and growth. From developing our in-house student management system—which handles everything from client management to alumni profiles—to enabling seamless communication through our new course-specific student feeds, I ensure our operations remain as innovative as our training.In 2024 alone, our interns provided critical support to over 5,153 members of the public, delivering more than 15,232 sessions of free counselling. These efforts not only impact the communities we serve but also equip our students with invaluable real-world experience.One of our most significant milestones has been expanding from Pretoria to Cape Town and Durban, supported by robust systems that allow controlled growth without losing the personal touch. Each student is guided by experienced supervisors who emphasize mentorship, grace, and excellence. This foundation, coupled with our Alumni Directory, helps graduates confidently enter the workforce, establish their own practices, or continue their pursuit of acceptance into competitive Master's programs.Looking ahead, Humanitas Training is dedicated to creating meaningful job opportunities for our graduates. We aim to relaunch a paid online counselling platform and engage top graduates in community-focused initiatives like crisis hotlines, workshops, and in-person counselling services. We also seek partnerships with funders to support these efforts, ensuring our graduates make a lasting impact on underserved communities.Ultimately, our vision extends beyond South Africa.
