Airforce Research Lab University Nanosat ProgramCenter for Space Systems• Awarded 1st place contract worth over $100,000 with the Air Force Research Lab University Nanosat Program 7 as part of a team of student engineers for the Center for Space Systems• Assisted with the Attitude Determination and Control (Guidance) Subsystem and the Electrical Power Subsystem• Designed and built course attitude control components used in prototype and testing levels, on the secondary payload’s de-tumble and subsequent attitude control for the R3 and Prox-1 satellites. • Performed preliminary solar cell analysis on the electrical power sub-system of the Prox-1 satellite to calculate the proper sizing of solar cells ensuring optimal energy production.• Assisted in the completion of operations documentation and standard operating procedures • Work done by following ITAR protocol • Participate in mission-level reviews Team Member Student Hands on TrainingUniversity of Colorado Boulder• Represented Georgia Tech as part of a select team of engineering students at the Student Hands-On Training Workshop, held at the University of Colorado, Boulder, receiving intensive training in the fundamental aspects of satellite construction.• Constructed a fully-functional balloon satellite within 48 hours and successfully achieved target goal of measuring precise pressure, temperature, and 3-axis accelerometer data readings from over 100,000 feet in Earth’s Stratosphere.
