Led and supervised the investigation and litigation of impact cases on behalf of victims and survivors of atrocities from twelve countries spanning five continents. Led CJA to several favorable trial verdicts and contributed to key legal precedents at the trial and appellate level, including at the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2017, launched CJA’s transitional justice initiatives program, with an initial focus on accountability for conflict-related sexual violence crimes in Kosovo and Tunisia.

Litigated impact cases on behalf of survivors of torture and other severe human rights abuses from Colombia, Chile, Somalia, and the United States. Led or supported investigations relating to suspects from each of these countries, as well as suspected perpetrators from several additional countries in Latin America and Africa. Maintained active litigation practice primarily in class actions on behalf of construction workers deprived of their wages, as well as on behalf of building trade unions.
