I joined Workday in April 2018 to spearhead the Incident Management Program in Europe during a period of substantial growth. The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides a range of asset and liability management services to the Government. These services include borrowing on behalf of the Government and management of the country’s national debt. As an I.T Security Engineer for the NTMA, I also provided services to other departments such as the State Claims Agency and the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA). Following a successful period of contracting with the organisation, I transitioned to a permanent role within the IT Security department in August 2014. As a member of the IT Security team, I was entrusted with the critical responsibilities and ownership of various tools and applications aimed at safeguarding the agency's network and services. Additionally, I assumed a leadership role in overseeing the architecture and maintenance of various network components and security monitoring tools.Duties included but not limited to:• Collaborate on security focused projects in both leading and supporting roles.• Prioritise cyber security events/incidents for a prompt mitigation or resolution.• Procurement of new and existing technologies, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.• Manage maintenance and renewal contracts for third party vendors and Managed Service Providers.• Assist in the implementation of the Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery programs.• Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of critical security applications and hardware.• Establish strong access controls including biometrics, single sign-on and key management solutions.• Reviewing alerts, risk assessments and vulnerability scans for any weaknesses in the environment.• Identify and resolve security related issues through analysis and coordination for rapid remediation.• Chair weekly team meetings and delegate tasks to other teams to drive efficient execution of projects.• Mentor staff on best practices regarding cyber security topics (User Awareness training)

I joined the NTMA in July 2013 as a contractor with a mandate to support the upgrading and hardening of various systems and network components. Given the responsibility of managing the deployment across various state bodies, I conducted thorough testing and validation of all systems before deploying to production, ensuring they met the stringent security standards set by the head of security operations. I also supported the projects after completion and provided training to staff during handover. Duties included but not limited to:• Lead the development and hardening of multiple systems, images and network components.• Collecting software requirements from agencies, and incorporating them into the project plan.• Conduct comprehensive testing of all systems to ensure there is no operational impact on the agency.• Identify and resolve issues in applications through debugging and appropriate fixes.• Providing support to end users during the transition phase and offering training when required.• Identifying and sourcing alternative applications for the organization’s needs when necessary.

Kinetic IT is one of Australia's main IT consultant agencies with over 2,500 contracts and its strong practice and experience of the ITIL framework. I was hired by Kinetic IT in October 2012 as a contractor for the BHP Billiton 1Desktop project. BHP Billiton is the world’s largest mining company with major operations in Australia and the UK. The 1Desktop project consisted of swapping out Windows XP for Windows 7 along with introducing new secure and controlled procedures to help with the scalability of the company’s network and applications.. As one of the deployment engineers, I was required to work in both the city of Perth and on site (Newman and Port Hedland), so I am familiar with working FIFO rosters and demanding travel schedules. Strong communications skills was also a necessity for this role as being face-to-face with the client was part of my daily routine. Duties included but not limited to:• Hardening images and enforcing strict User Access Controls.• Building Windows 7 machines using SCCM.• Reducing Software from 24000 applications to 500.• Acting as support for end users.• Troubleshooting any bugs or fixes.• Creating batch files to help with the transition.

Hedgeserv Limited is a hedge fund administration company, registered with the Central Bank of Ireland that provides an innovative service model to meet the increasing demands of the rapidly evolving hedge fund industry. I was employed in HedgeServ early August 2011 as an Application Support Analyst. My primary aim working in this role was to maintain and provide support to fellow colleagues and clients alike in any FTP or reconciliation issues. The role also required triage and investigation into complex interface issues, understanding the problem, identifying the appropriate issue owner and coordinating viable work around and resolution of the issue. During this time I also participated in all graduate in-house financial training for accountants. Duties included but not limited to:• Automating the encrypting/decrypting process of the files using XML and asymmetric key cryptography.• Developing XML workflows to automatically retrieve files.• Creating scripts that would screen and parse the files to retrieve specific information using COSMOS. • Setting up secure FTP connections with clients and brokers.• Training staff on the reconciliation application and its components.• Assigning and prioritizing issues both internally and externally.• Investigating complex issues, finding a resolution and enforcing it.

Interface College is a language school in the heart of Dublin city that also prides itself in teaching levels 5, 6 and 7 FETAC computer courses. During my time at university, I took up a part-time position at Interface College which I continued after graduation. During my time at Interface College, I investigated and resolved several hardware and software issues that had arisen.Duties included but not limited to:• Windows 7 rollout on all machines.• User account management.• Installation of all required software.• Patch Management.• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.• Fixing any software issues that may occur.

Ariba is a software and information technology services company that provides software solutions for spend management, contract management, supplier management and working capital management. At Ariba I was responsible for ensuring products met a high standard of requirements and met deadlines. During my time at Ariba, we released a total of four new languages across all platforms along with maintaining the old ones.Duties included but not limited to:• Ensuring projects met a high standard of requirements.• Training translators and providing training videos for translators using Adobe Captivate.• Creating and Executing UI manual test scripts.• Identifying/Reporting localisation related and internationalisation related defects.• Working as a mediator between software developers and translators. • Testing and fixing defects were needed.
