Working as the Aquatics Coordinator for a busy YMCA, I am responsible over hiring, training and supervising the lifeguard and swim teaching team. We have both indoor and outdoor pools, and I am responsible for maintaining the safe running of both of these.I am responsible for the majority of scheduling, staff communications, pool operations and management. During summer months, we run an extensive aquatics program at summer camp. My team and I are contracted to also lifeguard the beaches in the surrounding area. I am currently certified in surf, non-surf, and pool lifeguarding, and am a qualified lifeguard trainer.

Reno, Nevada Area

Responsible for the management of an outdoor pool, and lake facility at residential Girl Scout camp. I supervised a team of 4 lifeguards, designed and implemented staff training, as well as lifeguard inservices throughout summer. I was responsible for the safety of up to 100 campers per week, of varying swim ability. I designed a swim test and and ensured that all campers were tested and placed into an appropriate and safe swim level, where they undertook swim lessons. I was also responsible for the care and usage of all boating equipment, including canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and kayaks. I scheduled for all waterfront activities, ensuring that each camper was swimming each day, and boating at least twice per week.Throughout the season, I supported the waterfront team, and acted as a member of the administrative staff, assisting with high-level support of the director. I was instrumental in staff evaluations, both mid-summer and end-of-season.
