Graphic Designer for all print and promo materials including all university marketing, trade shows, campus events, foundation/alumni activities, and general university related items. Items produced include ads, programs, CD covers, posters, flyers, signs, t-shirts, magazines, banners, flyers, logos, newsletters, apparel, manuals, branding, web banners.

• Responsible for all production work and Client/Market/Printer communication for 6 bi-monthly magazines with an average page count of 160 pages each.
• Responsible for file management, archiving, copy changes, photo changes, map updates, text import, Filemaker database, book layout, preparing files for press, all market and printer contact.
• Helps out the Creative Team with design work as time permits.
• Telecommutes from home in a completely independent work environment.

• Responsible for all design, production and customer service for 2 bi-monthly homes publications, each with an average page count of 170 pages. (25% design from scratch, 50% formatted ads from template, 25% text/data)
• Responsible for designing creative ads through written instructions or ideas from client, as well as the creation of formatted ads from template, file management, archiving, copy changes, photo changes, map updates.
• Works with Market from ad creation to final files to the printer.
• Processes and file-checks Agency ads.
• Telecommutes from home in a completely independent work environment.

• Manage a team of 11 production artists, with 32 magazines going to press each month.
• Manage the scheduling of 32 monthly magazines; mediate between Markets and printers when deadlines are missed or schedule conflicts arise.
• Develop more efficient work methods.
• Monitor team work for accuracy and timeliness.
• Interview and hire for new or replacement positions.
• Responsible for all administrative paperwork - time sheets, reports, reviews, employee tracking.

• Responsible for training of all new artists in an 11 person team.
• Main contact for troubleshooting including computer issues, work procedures, conflicts between artist and printer and/or other departments.
• Produce 1 magazine a month with average page count of 450 pages. (production only)
• Help out the team when production work becomes overloaded.

Work with a 6-person team as a group to produce 8 magazines each month, both creative and production
