I was the Chief Avionics Officer for UCLA Rocket Project’s Foundry team, part of a four-man group which designed and built a multi-stage rocket set to launch in 2019. As the avionics officer my responsibility was to write Arduino code which would trigger ignition and stage separation for the rocket, design and build the circuit which linked the Arduino to e-matches which would trigger ignition and stage separation and assist with rocket assembly.

As part of the Upsilon Lab program at UCLA I worked as part of professor Putterman’s research group on the pilot waves project. The overall goal of the project was to replicate and expand on the original MIT experiment by creating a system which studied the effect of pilot waves on a fluid dynamics system. My role in the project includes assembling the system (currently consisting of a function generator, amplifier, loudspeaker, petri dishes, and accelerometers), designing a 3D printed model which attaches the accelerometers to the petri dish using AutoCAD, programming the accelerometer using Arduino, and optimising the data-collection process.

Was an intern for the Wei Wu research group at USC working on the Stereolithographic 3D printer project. The aim of the project was to build a stereolithographic printer with variable beam resolution capable of printing structures several microns in length. My role in the research group was to design, assemble, and test a prototype with two resolutions capable of printing fine patterns. The resultant was a very basic prototype platform which could be further modified to reach the target resolutions, and which is still in use today.
