I am a qualified Architectural Technologist I graduated with a National Diploma from the Technikon Pretoria now Tshwane University of Technology. I have 18 years’ experience in the field and I have been involved in a range of projects within different contexts. Among some of the projects I have worked are Wolmaranstad and Klerksdorp prison upgrades in North-west province. Also, I significantly contributed in the design and completion of working drawings for diamond market in Wolmarastad. All these projects were security sensitive and require undivided attention to detail. I have worked on fast paced turn-key projects from June 2004 to October 2006. I was responsible for the approval of building plans and producing construction documentation of most of the projects. As a result, I have gained knowledge of the workings of different municipalities. The different municipal departments required their own specific laws and by-laws that needed to be complied with and I had to see to it that all the construction drawings are compliant. This was a challenge that I have enjoyed as this required discipline, planning, innovation and improvisation on my part. I have great deal of experience in retail projects that I have worked on for the last 11 years. Among other notable shopping centres that I have worked on include Mall of Africa; Sandton city; Mall of the North and Morningside shopping centre.I have worked from simple tenant coordination to service coordination for the entire project, ensuring that each discipline service is on its demarcated zone and or if the conditions do not permit it does not encroach or cause problems to other services. The scale and complexity of some of this retail projects required one to pay undivided attention to detail, thus one gainend huge experience when it comes to detailing. Thus, my widespread experience has given me key competencies in the following areas: technical detailing; design and construction coordination and site supervision.
