Corduroy Earth is the culmination of my work in the arts, content creation and Web 3.0. Our mission is to explore new systems that empower artists and facilitate the growth of a more equitable creative economy by leveraging the technology of Web 3.0. We want to return value to the creation stage of the arts by developing more efficient funding vehicles for creatives access.Being able to lead a team of dedicated artists and professionals in an area that I am extremely passionate about has been the biggest highlights of my career. Getting to work at the ENF was a wonderful opportunity to continue growing my knowledge of Web3 while having an impact on the EOS and Antelope.io ecosystems.Communications are an important part of any industry, but especially so in Web3 due to its decentralized nature. As the ENF spearheaded a vision for the EOS ecosystem, my goal was to ensure that the work we undertake accurately represented the EOS community and that all ecosystem contributors were able to stay aligned and coordinated as the network scales.

Telos Culture is a block producer (also known as a network validator) on the Telos Network. The community and culture surrounding Telos is truly unique. So, we launched Telos Culture as a way to grow the voice of network and offer a platform for community members and projects building on Telos. I like to think of it almost as public broadcasting but with a Web 3.0 twist! Our work included running weekly livestreams on ecosystem news, regular Q&As with projects building on Telos, features on thought leaders in our ecosystem, NFT giveaways and more!

I founded Corduroy Content as a way to combine my love for digital media and copywriting with my passion to help business and artists increase their impact in sustainable ways. I work with businesses to identify their target market, analyze competitors and clarify messaging. Then we develop holistic marketing strategies for organic growth, with a focus on content creation.I Manage a team of experts in graphic design, social media, copywriting, audio/video production and event coordination. We help projects develop compelling branding materials that are in line with their mission and design competitive websites from the ground up. We work closely with other agencies and clients’ internal teams to ensure cohesive efforts across all marketing campaigns.

I had the privilege of overseeing department operations during a pivotal stage in the Telos protocol’s growth. Led a team of internal workers and agencies in an aligned fashion. Some of my favourite campaigns that I got to be a part of are linked below.I oversaw a strategic rebrand and the launch of a new online presence. As part of this we launched a number of initiatives including a comprehensive content marketing and social media strategy. I worked closely with partners to develop engaging announcements, events and giveaways. We improved community relations through weekly Twitter Spaces events and YouTube live streams. I collaborated on a PR strategy that involved both traditional and guerrilla tactics. Developed ambassador and community management initiatives. Created instructional content, bi-weekly technical reports and launched a help desk portal for users. Oversaw influencer and paid-advertising initiatives.During my work here, we increased organic search traffic over 500%, increased YouTube watch time over 1000% and grew Twitter by the following: Followers 705%, Monthly Retweets 1872%, Monthly Post Likes 2479%.

I spent several years working with businesses, artists and influencers from around the world, helping them to grow their reach in an organic fashion. My role varied from client to client, but oftentimes we would identified customer segments, analyze competitors and conducted SEO research to find the optimal keyphrases for their niche.I would then create long-form articles targeting popular queries and developed relationships with publications to field backlinks and increase domain authority. With this approach some clients saw an increase in organic search traffic of over 6000% in the first 6 months. I also worked in general website SEO, optimizing alt-text, header tags, meta descriptions, sitemaps, etc. Worked in other areas of copywriting such as writing bios and general website copy.

In the early years of my career I worked in audio engineering and music production. I ran a small recording studio in London, Ontario and got to work on local music, indie films and other audio related work.I studied audio engineering privately with Grammy and JUNO winning engineer Kevin Doyle. Following this I attended Fanshawe’s Music Industry Art’s (MIA) and Audio Post Produciton (APP) programs, where I was able to learn from a number of notable industry professionals such as Dan Brodbeck, Mike Roth, Rob Nation and Moe Berg.Upon graduating I had the opportunity work on projects that involved notable artists such as Corey Hart, Loud Luxury, Larnell Lewis, Laila Biali and Heather Bambrick. A unique highlight of my work in this field was mixing a live album for noteworthy Canadian comedian Ron James.

I worked with Interrobang (theinterrobang.ca), the Fanshawe Student Union's media publication. During this time I wrote 85+ pieces, covering topics such as news, lifestyle and culture, specializing in music journalism.During this time I had the opportunity to interview and write features on Juno and Grammy winning industry personnel. Responsible for staying on top of trending topics and covering timely stories related to local events.
