As a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, I guide a team responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s JavaScript library, which merchants use to securely process e-commerce payments through debit/credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, and other payment methods.My focus in this role is on reducing technical debt, improving both the overall performance and observability of our systems, and ensuring that clear, effective processes are in place. A key aspect of my work is mentoring and guiding the development team, helping them grow their skills and deliver high-quality code through structured feedback and best practices.We utilise modern technologies like TypeScript and JavaScript in an Open Source setting, and I work closely with product teams to align technical direction with business needs.

As a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, I led the introduction of MuleSoft across the organisation, utilising the low-code platform to rapidly develop RESTful APIs using an API-led approach. This enabled us to address internal integration challenges, including the automating on-boarding processes, facilitating data transfer between Salesforce and bespoke micro-services, and integrating with KYB/KYC services.In this role, I was responsible for the general planning of the team’s work, establishing coding guidelines, defining SDLC processes, and supporting recruitment. I worked closely with colleagues globally, including external outsourcing partners, providing regular feedback to ensure alignment. With no prior MuleSoft experience, I quickly became the internal champion for MuleSoft, driving its adoption and supporting the team in harnessing its capabilities to deliver the value of rapid prototyping and deployments.
