With nearly 20 years in private practice and in-house leadership, I have amassed a great deal of experience in risk and litigation management, regulatory compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, process improvement and providing an array of legal advice and strategic guidance.I enjoy solving complex problems and consistently seek ways to improve systems to create efficiencies and pave the way for the business to run smoothly. I earned my AA, BS, and JD at night while working full time during the day, and raising young children. I also believe in learning and giving back, thus I enjoy volunteer work and I am a lifelong learner.After practicing law with several boutique firms, I moved in-house, where I have gained substantial experience with multiple organizations. Most recently, I was invited into a newly created Head of Compliance position at Computershare to lead the shared services compliance function for the U.S. loan services operation with a team of five lawyers and 20 compliance professionals. I was subsequently promoted to General Counsel with additional oversight for Litigation Management and interfacing with the regional Executive Team and Global Legal Team.
