First assignment was handling the legal decisions on commercial credit cards. Successfully monitored one legal firm resulting in their termination with our department. Personally took on the 2010 commercial credit card collection goal and helped reach it. Lead the offset collection process that others would not do. Volunteered for merger process help. Moved into department collection slot as further possible managemnt training, and met my 2011 collection goal in 6 months.

After selling our house in MD in October 2008, we moved to NC and I found this job. I began at this position as they require and was number one in my group for Credit Card Collections. In March they converted the building to mortgage collections. In September I was promoted to the Recovery department because of my background as a negotiator of bad debt. We contact secured and unsecured home equity customers to assist in short sales and payment plans. We also do extensive skip tracing. We use over 10 systems and make over 100 calls per day.

Directed all credit and collections for 7 regions of a 2 Billion dollar US Division. Responsible for the direct and indirect management of 38 professionals. Duties include DSO reduction (4 days from 2006 to 2007), bad-debt monitoring, and cash forecasting. Developed excellent bad debt allowance formulas. Business Process Owner for two acquisitions and ICS (Internal Control Systems) compliance, the Swiss equivalent of SOX. Excellent sales and customer relationship meetings to result in win-win solutions. Job eliminated due to acquisition falling through.

Hired to help merge three companies in the Carolinas and Georgia into one, called RMC-Mid-Atlantic, effective January 1, 2004. $400 million manufacturer and supplier of ready-mixed concrete and concrete products. $70 million average receivables, with over 6000 active accounts. Main objective consisted of complete re-education of customers, sales, and upper management on the value of proper credit management. Purchased by Cemex March 1, 2005. Cemex's synergy objective included downsizing the regional credit departments. Trained and supervised staff of eight. Major cleanup of A/R accomplished.

Maintained credit policy requirements at fifteen locations throughout the Carolinas, while partnering with center managers to achieve sales goals. $100 million in sales while controlling $20 million A/R. 48 DSO and .3% yearly write-offs. Supervised and trained credit reps. at each location.

Developed and enforced credit policy for 16 ready-mixed and/or block plants. Improved DSO from 65 to 42.

Wrote and developed first credit policy for $20 million company with eighteen operating locations and three product lines. Achieved 40 DSO and write-offs below .5% during fluctuating economic market conditions. Prepared monthly cash flow projections and consistently met or surpassed planned levels.

Controlled all credit and collection responsibilities for a $12 million company doing business in both Maryland and North Carolina. Responsibilities expanded to include corporate safety director during last two years.
