I manage both residential and commercial projects. There are multiple sites to work on at any one time so my main challenge is getting teams to work across sites in an efficent mnor to a high standard.I find program management is key and a timely procurement process all aid to the successful delivery of a project. These are monitored on a regular basis to limit or weed out any problems that require solving a little further down the line.Communicating with all stakeholders is a key aspect of project management and this is carried out through regular site meetings and liaison with the client and design teams are also held on a regular basis. Transparency is key here.My skillset has continued to grown whilst consulting for this small start-up based in the New Forest and i look forward to future opportunites and larger project across the south of england.

I started working for Oldercare in 2014 as a business manager and project manager. The organisation saw a significant growth in profits during my tenure and I managed the capital expansion and development of several new psychiatric wards and completed the refurbishment of a derelict building into a state of the art secure dementia unit. During my time in this organisation I grew from a Project manager and progressed onto being a project director and a company director & Secretary with a seat on the company board.The projects that i managed and completed on time varied from £500k 12 bed dementia unit through to an 80 bed psychiatric low secure hospital with a value of £12m.Each project posed their own challenges whilst constructing in a live environment. I used different methods of construction across all sites, from steel framed construction with timber infill panels to a strict passive haus specification to timber frame above a below ground. All these projects where constructed in national parks and near sites of special scientific interest. Taking into account the unique environmental challenges I still managed to deliver these projects on time with a rigid procurement strategy and careful program management. Stake holder engagement played a critical part of the success right from the design stages and the continued management of this helped deliver the projects to a high medical standard that is required in the private sector.
