I have been involved in or conducted over six hundred (600) origin and cause investigations and (5) five post-blast explosive investigations. I am a qualified expert in Superior Court for Origin and Cause investigations and was assigned to the Arson Unit for 17 years: 5 years as the supervisor. I was promoted to Sergeant on September 1, 2005 and promoted to Lieutenant July 1, 2017. From February 2011 to February 2014, I was assigned to the Special Victims Unit and supervised over 1300 Sexual Assault and Child Abuse investigations and am currently assigned as the Major Crimes Lieutenant and am assigned as the County Counter Terrorism Coordinator. I am also the Prosecutor's Liaison to the Mercer County Radio System Governance Committee and the Office of Emergency Management. I have been a member of the Kingston Volunteer Fire Company # 1 since October 1986 and served in Leadership positions as a line officer for over 10 years. I am a life member of the Company and served as Fire Chief in 2002, 2003, 2011- 2014. I have graduated from all of the Command & Control Courses at the National Fire Academy and hold my Professional Development Series in Emergency Management from the Emergency Management Institute. I am Incident Management level III certified, Hazardous Materials Incident Commander certified and a level I Fire Service Instructor certified by the NJ Division of Fire Safety.On May 1, 2001, I was appointed as an adjunct instructor for the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety teaching arson detection and emergency response to terrorism. During the summer of 2001, I provided training for the Trenton Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team in emergency response to terrorism prior to the September 11th attack and the Anthrax letter attacks in October 2001. In 2004, I worked cooperatively with the New Jersey State Police, State Department of Health, Mercer County Sheriff and Local Police on the Security Plan for the Strategic National Stockpile.
