I Currently work as a production electrician at Boulby Potash mine which is a fully operated Salt, Potash and polyhalite producing mine. My roles and responsibilities include carrying out all electrical duties on the production side of mining. Fault finding, assisting breakdowns, maintenance and installation work. I work with Continuous miners, shuttle cars, feeder breakers of various designs all run by High Voltage switchgear. Im also still a member of the Mines Rescue service at Boulby. With first aid, confined space and gas testing certificates.

I worked at Aberpergwm Colliery which is a fully operated anthracite producing coal mine. My roles and responsibilities included carrying out all electrical duties underground including maintenance, installation, fault finding, assisting breakdowns and repair work. During my 4 years underground I have worked mainly on maintenance and spent time in the coal headings.For the 4 years I was at Aberpergwm Colliery I had been a part-time Mines Rescue brigade’s man with experience in going operational. I was involved fully with the Gleision mine disaster in October 2011, assisting in the search and recovery of the 4 casualties. I am First Aid Trained and trained in confined spaces.
