At Artforum, I’ve climbed the ladder from editorial intern to executive editor, where I lead long-term editorial decision-making, develop strategy for integrating print, digital, and video and live offerings, and steward the magazine’s external relationships. I am an obsessive dot-connector, drawing on granular knowledge of modern and contemporary art to identify points of frisson between artists, people, markets, and ideas. I have a knack for bringing the forgotten artists of the past to bear on contemporary conversations—whether that be climate activism or developments in artificial intelligence—and contextualizing freshly minted or emerging artists amid a rich historical tapestry. I am also a connector of people: I am able to think creatively about how shared sensibilities might align to engender original ideas, and I have talent for linking artists and individuals in new constellations. I thoroughly enjoy managing relationships and thinking strategically about building and capitalizing on networks locally and internationally. I’m a trained editor and wordsmith and a passionate mentor and leader who enjoys motivating writers and colleagues to execute work with the highest standards of quality. I am an experienced public speaker, having delivered talks and lectures at Johns Hopkins University, the College Art Association, Art Basel Miami Beach, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I have also served as Critic in Residence at the Hoffberger School at the Maryland Institute College of the Arts. I like Baroque music, cold weather, and long walks in Central Park with my miniature dachshund Ritz.
